Criminal damage to property dismissed!

Sad Teenager Boy Sitting Hands On Head

Minnesota Criminal Defense Attorney Lynne Torgerson obtained a dismissal of a charge of criminal damage to property, out of Wright County, State of Minnesota.  This case involved damage to a police squad, after being arrested, and placed in the rear of a squad. Defendant was charged with criminal damage to property, under section 609.595 of the Minnesota Statutes.  The definition of criminal damage to property general involves intentionally causing damage to the property of another without their consent.  The level of the offense, such a misdemeanor, gross misdemeanor, or felony, is usually determined by the value of damage caused.  Defendant had no prior felony conviction.  Fortunately, Mr. Torgerson got the charge dismissed, thus keeping her client’s record free of any conviction related to this charge.  Well done Ms. Torgerson.
