Second Amendment Lawyer Lynne Torgerson won gun rights restoration in County of Dakota
Client sought restoration of gun rights. Client is 59 years old, married, with adult children. Client is manager in automotive industry, area of his career. Client’s family has tradition of hunting and gun sports, and would again like to engage in such activities. Client would also like to inherit antique firearms from family. Client had history of drug addiction, resulting in a mental health hospitalization, and, drug and theft related crimes. These events caused lifetime ban on possession of firearms. However, criminal history did not involve any violence or assault, and has not had a serious criminal case in 18 years. Client turned his life around. Evidence did not indicate dangerousness. The County Attorney offices did not object. Finding good cause for restoration of Petitioner’s Second Amendment rights, the Court, The Honorable David Knutson presiding, granted Petitioner’s Petition. Well done Ms. Torgerson.
