Second Amendment Rights Restored 071224

A Gun With American Constitution Article Behind

Gun Rights Restoration Lawyer Lynne Torgerson won another case out of the County of Anoka State of Minnesota.

Major victory!  Petitioner had disqualifying cases out of the County of Anoka and County of Washington.  Petition filed a Petition to Restore Second Amendment rights in Anoka County.  Lawyer Lynne Torgerson has won innumerable cases throughout the State of Minnesota, where her client had a disqualifying conviction in more than one county, and the court granted restoration throughout the State of Minnesota, without requiring the Petitioner to litigate restoration in every county of conviction.  In this case, the State of Minnesota, County of Anoka, Bryan Lindberg, County Attorney, brought a motion to dismiss the Washington County matter, and/or to change venue for the Washington County matter and require the Petitioner to litigate in both Anoka and Washington counties; attempting to vastly impair the petition to restore statute.  The County of Anoka is trying to have the law interpreted so that rather than bring 1 petition for restoration through the entire State of Minnesota, the Anoka County Attorney wants to force petitioners to bring a case in multiple counties.  This would double, triple or quadruple attorney fees and filing fees, and require 2, 3 or 4 cases, rather than 1.  Moreover, the restoration statute does not require this.  The judge waited for about 89 of the 90 days allowed to make a decision, and then ignored the Anoka County Attorney’s motion to dismiss and change venue, and simply GRANTED the Petitioner’s Petition to Restore Second Amendment Rights.  It was a nail biter!  Finding good cause for restoration of Petitioner’s Second Amendment rights, the Court, The Honorable James Cunningham presiding, granted Petitioner’s Petition.  Well done Ms. Torgerson.
